Questions for Assignment #1 – Windshield Survey

1. Overview: 1) Identify the community and a community agency/organization being observed. Its location, county, and the size/dimensions of the community. (10 pts)

2. Physical Appearance/Geography of the community appearance.
1) Describe conditions of buildings (new/ old/ well-kept/ signs of growth, building, expansion in the community 2) Describe the kinds of housing observed, steps to front door (single, twin, row, apartments, etc.). (5 pts)

3. Environmental: 1) Describe observed landscape (trees, tall grasses, flowers, dirt lots) 2) Describe evidence of cleanliness in the environment (i.e. water in ponds, trash and rodents in street, environmental resources (trash collection, recycling) 3) Describe observed air conditions (Smoke, odor, particles). (5 pts)

4.
