Psychological Impact of Individuals Who Witness Domestic Violence During Childhood

Hook: Childhood is a very vulnerable stage that goes through various developmental processes that could be affected by several factors later in life.

Background Information: Several studies have confirmed that although children have not been directly abused, around ten million of them have witnessed these circumstances.

Problem Statement: Lack of empathy, frustration, fear, and post-traumatic effects are some of the psychological issues that affront later in life those who witness domestic violence in childhood

Research Question: it is necessary to address future problems related to domestic violence, understand the cause, how to identify them, and provide treatment to those who are suffering from this dramatic situation.

Hypothesis: If people who witnessed violence from childhood affront more psychological problems in the future than the general population.

Thesis Statement: This paper has the intention to provides additional recommendations and interventions regarding psychological issues manifested by individuals that are suffering from domestic violence from childhood including dysfunctional cognitive and behavioral matters.
