Write an essay about your personal connection to destiny. Do you identify with Santiago? If so, in what ways? If not, why not? Be as specific, as detailed, as possible, quoting frequently from “The Alchemist” to support your assertions.

Your essay must be 3-4 pages, typed and double-spaced, using 10-12 point type, with one-inch margins all around except at the top of the first page. Don’t forget to create paragraphs (two or three per page), but don’t create extra space between them.

At the top of the first page, in the upper left hand corner, put your name, my name, the name of the course and the date the paper is due. This heading should be single-spaced.

Skip two lines and center your title, which should be as specific and original as possible. This title should not be put in quotation marks or italics, but the first letter of every word (except articles and prepositions) should be capitalized.

Skip two lines and begin your essay. Indent ten spaces for the first (and subsequent) paragraphs.
