Considering this week’s lecture and assigned materials, this week’s lecture touched on the unprecedented unemployment claims and how labor has been historically racialized and gendered in the US. Taking this week’s assigned materials into consideration (and everything going on around you): what are some ways women and girls have been affected by COVID 19?

Relevant topics could include unpaid labor (childcare, elderly care, etc.); gender in the workforce; domestic/gender-based violence; and/or health impacts (e.g. lack of access to healthcare products and services) to name a few.
