Write a 1, 500 words biography of any significant (appeared at least once in the national press) figure (of any race) in the U. S. Civil Rights Movement, including the Women’s Rights Movement, during the period 1950 – 1975.
You may use any sources, except Wikipedia, but you must include at least one primary source (a speech, a letter, a news photograph, etc.). Successful completion of this project will add ten (10) points to your Final Course Grade. You may begin this at any time and submit it early to receive instructor feedback in order to revise it to achieve a passing grade. This scoring will be Pass/Fail. This essay must be submitted to Turnitin for a similarity check of 15%.
