The purpose of this assignment is to take a position either in favor or opposed to an issue that is the center of local political controversy. While you are able to incorporate some of the elements of what you learned presenting your ceremonial speech, this speech is intended to be more controversial and persuasive in nature.You should develop a compelling case that vividly explains current problems and provides appropriate solutions. Make compelling language choices to help motivate the audience to a specific audience. Deliver the speech in a compelling manner that engaged the audience despite environmental distractions
