Role of tweetsie railroad in Appalachian region

More specific: I am going to be researching Tweetsie Railroad. More specifically, the role of Tweetsie in the Appalachian area. I am going to learn its impact on the economy, people, and what makes it such an iconic part of Appalachian heritage and the area itself. Personally, I don’t even know how the attraction came about from the actual railroad line, so of course that is an idea I am going to explore within the research. I will use sources from the internet and at least one peer reviewed source.

You can make a sharper point out of that like, this is thing is fundamental to understanding the ???? that has been associated with region of Appalachia. It could be something like the ecology, politics, economy, religious beliefs, culture (violence, lawlessness, tight-knit, consumer habits, diet, pastimes, etc.)
