I left poland and all my belongings in q because of the pandemic. When I came to Sweden as a beginning I thought that the media was blowing in out of proportion until close friends and relatives were the victims of it. It was a hard thing to see because you could not see the person or go to him in the hospital. And what was most surprising was that people that I knew who were strong built and had no problems with their health at all died to Corona. It was hard to endure and see the people who were in their 20’s die, and worse than that were people dying all alone. Without their relatives or people they loved close to them. A friend of mine in SStockholm told hes sister about the pain he was feelings and how awful it was. He was hospitilized for 2-3 weeks and they had to put him to sleep the whole time and tried to cool hes fever down but it kept rising after those weeks he lost 17kgs and died because of Corona. You could not even give people a proper burial ceremony due to Corona. So it was alot to endure and it messed you up mentally because it is a total different thing to hear the amounts of people dying that you dont know and see people you know die. It was hard and only those people who saw people they knew die quarantined themselves but the rest did not take it serious and everything in Sweden was like normal. It was hard to see death in front of you and be able to focus on other things. What was worse was that you could be the reason behind the death of other people and family members. It is one thing to get it but a worse thing to be the one to spread it. A responsibility every person should think of. My family quarantined themselves and not even my sisters were allowed to visit us. One of the reasons for that is because she is a doctor and said she had to because of the oath she took and it’s in those times when we all need to do our duty and help out as much as we can. I focused more on my self and studied and took the time to learn new skills such as programming etc online. I spent more time with my family and only went out when necessary school was hard because of the internet connection and I had to borrow a computer because mine was left in Poland. The internet has never been worse and there is always problem with it because of the overload that is on it because of Corona. I had to be extra careful and not meet any friends or relatives because of me begin in the risk factor due to my eye operation I was in the risk-zone so I had to be extra careful. What was gained from Corona was more time with your family but also time with yourself. We lost alot of friends and relatives which was very hard to endure but we also saw how people put all their differences away and were United that this pandemic do not care what skin color you have ethnicity or what religions beliefs you have. It is unfortunate that we need a pandemic to see each other only as humans and nothing else. I am trying to not think of all the loss we had because of Corona and trying to bury myself in other things and keep myself busy all the time because I can not afford it to affect my future. The learnings this year has been a good experience but unfortunate that it was all interrupted by this virus. It is good that the school is taking in consideration that the situation has affected us all and that people both studying in Poland and outside of poland are affected by this in one way or another.
