The final paper is an opportunity for you to explore your own interests. You can choose any topic related to psychotherapy. The final paper should draw upon the course readings and class discussions in order to reflect cumulative learning throughout the semester. Examples of potential topics can be found on the next page; please feel free to propose your own ideas as well. You must have your topic approved by me before beginning to conduct research and write. Students will present their proposed topic in class on April 20 or 22, and topics will be approved during the proposal presentations. If you would like to get started on the paper earlier, please email your topic to the instructor at kamenss@oldwestbury.edu
Guidelines:
• 10 to 12 pages (including title page, abstract page, and references)
• One-inch margins, 11 or 12 pt font
• In American Psychological Association (APA) style. 6th edition acceptable; 7th edition preferred
• A minimum of 10 references that you find on your own (both in-text references and reference-list entries)
o The textbook can be cited but does not count as one of the 10
