Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Burkholderia cepacia complex in cystic fibrosis: old and new therapies and antimicrobials

This monograph aims to review the impacts of the pathogens Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Burkholderia cepacia complex on Cystic Fibrosis, the known mechanisms of resistance to antibiotics presently used, and to review recent developments on novel therapeutic approaches and novel molecules that have been described as having antimicrobial activity towards these two pathogens.
The monograph is expected to be organized in main chapters:

1. Pseudomonas aeruginosa and B. cepacia complex infections in Cystic Fibrosis patients (This is the part that I’m asking for, I’m only leaving the rest of the chapters to give an idea of the whole paper)

2. The antibiotics in use to treat infections caused by P. aeruginosa and B. cepacia complex

3. Mechanisms of antibiotic resistance used by P. aeruginosa and B. cepacia complex

4. Novel therapeutic approaches to eradicate infections by P.aeruginosa and B. cepacia complex

5. Novel molecules with antimicrobial activity towards P. aeruginosa and B. cepacia complex

6. Conclusions/perspectives.
