Persuasive Paper on Policy to the United Nations

The document I attached will have a detailed version of what the professor is specifically asking to do. Essentially the professor wants me to propose a policy to the UN. He says “The policy itself need not be something you design yourself; you are free to argue for a policy that has been proposed by an individual or a group, or one that has been adopted in another community or similar situation. ” I want my paper to propose a policy that pushes and condemns the United States for the conditions of their border detention centers and immigration policies. I basically want to convince the UN why these centers and their conditions are inhumane and why the Trump administration needs to be stopped and held accountable, especially for detaining children. Another thing that may be good to add is the aspect of the Coronavirus (COV19) that is adding pressure to the Trump administration to release some people detained in those centers, during this pandemic. If the conditions prior to COV19 got migrants sick, I can’t imagine the state or condition those centers are in right now. Or how they are going about social distancing in these overcrowded facilities that have people in cages.
