Romanticism and Realism both appear in the early to mid-19th Century, one being a reaction to the other. In this DB you will write a comparison of the two styles, using two specific examples of your choosing. First, select one Romantic work and one Realist work from Chapter 22: Romanticism, Realism and Early Photography. Next, discuss their subject matter and composition, comparing their similarities and differences. Lastly, list anything new that you discovered by viewing the two styles in this way rather than separately.
A. After making your comparison selections, provide the following information in your post to identify your work:
1. Name of the artists.
2. Name or title of the works of art you have selected, and chapter figure numbers

3. The style/movements or period of time and the date for your selected work of art. (Identify which one is Romanticism and which is Realism).
4. The location and cultural origin of your selected works of art, for example: French Realism.
B. Provide your detailed Comparison of your selections, one Romantic and one Realist, and discuss their subject matter and composition. What did you discover?
