For your final “Media Analysis” essay, please select 1 theory or idea we have explored in class and apply it to a media text, media event, or media technology. You can select any theory or idea from any point in the semester. In the paper, first identify and define the theory or idea. Then identify and briefly discuss your text, event, or technology. Finally, apply the theory or idea to the text, event, or technology and engage in a critical analysis. The paper will be 5-6 pages in length (not including a works cited page).
You must use at least one reading from class in your essay. You also must find two more peer reviewed, academic sources to include in your paper. You may also use newspaper and popular press articles in your paper but these do not count as peer-reviewed academic sources.
