Mean Girls – Book- Movie- Broadway adaptation This research essay asks you to compare and contrast some reality as depicted in a film adapted from a literary work, preferably with some international perspective, with some aspect of the reality / topic depicted. Must be signed up and APPROVED; one title per person; first signed up, first choice). You may analyze a film studied in class, if you wish. Everyone should introduce the topic with some reference to a film we’ve studied together.

You will research the “reality” through an interview with a knowledgeable person and through at least one scholarly article on the topic/reality depicted and one scholarly article on the film itself. Typed, 1000 words minimum to 1700 maximum, about 2 pp. single-spaced, not including works cited, works cited and title on these two pages; no separate title page or separate bibliography page, just works cited list in MLA format; turned in to TRACS assignments as a single Word document (for turnitin.com).
