During this semester, you will create a collection of articles from online and print magazines, newspapers, journals, etc., related to emerging trends and advancements in technology. They should focus on technologies that are less than five (5) years old. As you read and collect these articles, you will write a one-page analysis of each. Your analysis should include the following:
What specific need(s) will this technology fulfill?
Where will this technology have its greatest initial impact?
Who are the likely early users of this technology?
Are there areas into which this technology might expand or evolve in the future?
What are the positive implications for this technology?
What are the negative implications for this technology?
Each article analysis should be 1-2 pages long and you should have a minimum of 10 analyses in your journal. Article sources MUST be documented. Use MLA documentation if you know how, but at the very least, your documentation should include the author’s name (if known), title of the article, where it was published (title of publication or Web site), and the date of publication.
Each journal entry should adhere to the following format.
Each journal entry should begin at the top of a page (use page breaks between journal entries)
Each journal entry should have a bold, descriptive heading to indicate what the technology is.
Each journal entry should conclude with an MLA style work cited entry including author, title, publisher and publication date.
Insert a page break at the end of each entry so that the next one will start at the top of the next page.
Journals are due a week before the end of the semester (Insert date) and are worth a total 100 points (10 points per journal entry). Please submit all of your journal entries as a single Word or PDF document. Moodle cannot accept multiple document submissions for a single assignment.
