This will be a research paper on a topic of your choice outlined during the class (different topic from that of the mid-term). You should choose a topic in consultation with the instructor (this is what the abstract is for). As part of the requirements of this paper it must include analysis of at least one or more films that we do not view in class. Students are encouraged to refer to Bondanella’s text in order to find additional films that would be appropriate for their given topic of research, or to consult with me. Additionally the paper will include at least 3 scholarly resources, one of which should be a book published by an academic publisher. Any articles cited must be published in peer-reviewed journals. For this you may be required to use the library’s online databases (such as the MLA database). Training in how to use these databases is available in the library and students are encouraged to schedule a consultation session with a librarian. Length requirements are 8-9 pages. Again, please follow the MLA format.
