Please write 2 pages reflecting on how “physical distancing”is influencing our lives. Please use anthropological perspective. Try to think why social distancing feels so strange? How can we all stay connected and supportive of one another in such difficult times?
Please find an informant for your interview and pick one set of the questions provided (please see below). Ideally you will ask all of the questions but 20-25 is the minimum in order for your paper to be interesting.
If you like please ask additional questions that you think would help you understand the person or his/her culture better (if you do so, please provide me with the questions).
The person you interview must have been raised until the age of at least 20 in a country different from the country where you were raised. If you cannot find anyone who fits this profile, you may interview someone about religious practices (set#2).
Your paper should be 2 pages long, double spaced and should be written in an essay form! In your paper you should use theory from our lectures or textbook (if applicable), and try to compare for example your informant’s cultural traditions to your cultural traditions (this should be a cultural and not individual comparison).
