Instructions:
This is an individual assignment that is broken down into 3 steps.
Step 1:
For this assignment you are asked to choose one geographical location/place that is important to you personally in Canada( TORONTO). Please pay attention to the land base in the region you select. Ideally the place you choose has been formative in your upbringing or in your contemporary life and has played a role in shaping who you are, or are becoming as a person. This place can be land or water based, rural or urban in setting. It does not have to be a specific city, town or building. For example, it could simply be a body of water, a street, a field, a tree/forest or a trail you enjoy hiking. ( Basically, 101, Ontario street please google it. It is my first home when landed in Canada)
Step 2:
Once you have chosen the location/place, you are asked to research/answer the following questions for the location and provide your answers in a written document that includes an introduction and conclusion 600-800 words:
Step 3:
Once you have finished answering these questions, you are then asked to create or find TWO different artistic renderings of the location using any medium that you like, including photography. Each image should tell/represent a different story/perspective about the place. Each image should try to incorporate the key elements/important information discussed in the 4 questions above. If you would prefer not to create art, or take photos yourself, you may source images on the internet. However please be sure to cite the images properly and to choose images that are capable of conveying complex meaning about the place/location.
