Career and career counseling were important topics this week, and lots of good HRD insights were found in our course materials. Yet the topic of calling, following God’s will for one’s life and career, success in a career from God’s perspective, etc. were not mentioned. If we believe that God cares about these issues, then there must be some ideas to be found in Scripture.
In this thread, find at least 2 ideas in Scripture which refer to following the will and call of God in your life, as it pertains to one’s vocation / work. You may use narratives as examples (i.e. stories of notable people such as Moses, Joshua, David, Paul, Peter, etc.). You may use parables of Jesus, or specific verses referencing God’s plan / will / desire for our lives.

Then, discuss how you could use these ideas to counsel people in a workplace setting, without necessarily having to quote chapter and verse.
