How does Hemingway define “Masculinity”?

This research paper makes a claim about three Hemingway stories, all featuring Nick Adams. In the first story he’s a child, in the second one he’s a young adult, and in the third one he’s a grown man. These three stories already have a lot in common: they’re written by Hemingway and they’re all about Nick Adams. My thesis is a claim about the thematic link between them. My thesis should answer the question: How does Hemingway define “Masculinity” in his short stories? This assignment asks you to incorporate outside research (secondary sources) in support of the argument. At least FOUR secondary sources are required. The THREE other sources are the primary sources.
