What are the names and ages of everyone in the household? Are the parents married, cohabiting, or living separately? What are the parents’ jobs and education levels? Does either parent have any problems with their medical or mental health? Does the family practice any particular religion, and if so, what are its values about family and children? Was the pregnancy planned? What were the parents’ reactions to the pregnancy? How soon did the mother find out she was pregnant? How did the mother take care of herself during pregnancy (i.e. smoking, drinking, drugs/medications, nutrition, prenatal vitamins, exercise, regular doctor appointments)? What was the mother’s emotional state during pregnancy? Did she work, and if so does she plan to return to working outside the home? Are the parents’ extended families and friends supportive? Where did the parents look for information about fetal development or questions about childbirth? Were there any complications with the pregnancy or birth? How did the birth go: did the mother give birth vaginally or via c-section, and were there any signs of potential health problems in the mother or baby after the birth? What was the baby’s length and weight? How was the mother’s mental and emotional health after the birth?
Keep in mind, all of things may have bearing on your human’s fetal development and over the course of their lives. For example, advanced maternal age could be a risk for chromosomal anomalies; drinking, smoking, or drug use could cause birth defects or future problems with the child’s cognitive and emotional development.
While this is meant to be written primarily in a narrative style as though you are telling a story, make sure that you provide citations for relevant developmental details such as the factors that impacted your human’s development and how those impacts manifested. That is, while you are doing some creative writing here this is still an academic exercise in which the main goal is for you to demonstrate a thorough understanding of human development in your writing.
