Chapter 9 of your text discusses the many and varied fire protection systems that are available and in use today.

Instructions:

Do the following:

Choose one of the technologies and systems discussed in the text or you can choose a technology that is not discussed in the text but relates directly to fire suppression, detection, and/or control.
Look up information about that technology or system in the NFPA codes and standards.
Instructions for accessing the codes and standards are below.
Make 3 PowerPoint slides that discusses the technology or fire protection system.
Each PowerPoint slide should have from 3 to 5 bullet points concerning information you found in the code or standard that WAS NOT in the text.
In other words, you are providing information to your classmates about the technology that is NOT in the text.
Attach the PowerPoint into your discussion posting.

Be as creative as you like with the discussion. You can add audio, video or graphics to your PowerPoint, if you like, so go for it and have fun.

Respond to two other students by picking two things for each you think would improve their presentations and explain why. (This will require you to open their attached files.)

In the title box, list the discussion submission as “Your name- discussion #..”

When responding to others, in the title box put “Your name- response to Mr. …….”

Refer to the Discussion instructions, rules and grading rubric which can be found in Modules, Course documents.

Include the questions when you answer the questions and create a thread in the discussion.

Discussion #3 is based on 5 points, is worth 16% of your overall grade and is due on the date listed in the syllabus.
