Final Paper Directions
The written paper should describe your socialization process in detail (see below). You must include or address all 10 areas in your paper. Your written paper should be at least six (6) pages long.
Please follow the following outline for your paper.
The Ten Aspects of the Socialization Paper

1. Begin where you are now. Who are you? How do you define yourself? What do you think are some of your values? What are your special interests?
I am a college student
I define myself as active and optimistic.
My value is to be positive. I think it is not easy to live, time passes quickly, people’s life will become very short, in the face of a short life, I think we should not do anything, wasted life! Now we are young, I think youth is wealth, I think we should make good use of this wealth, for themselves, for the society, for the country to create more wealth, that means we want to be positive. College is the best time to lay a good foundation for the future, so I will work hard for a great mission with passionate motivation.

2. The Family- nuclear, extended, single parent, others, brothers and sisters, birth order, family occupation, early memories, experiences, feelings, travel, etc.
I have only one child, so I envy those who have brothers and sisters very much
My father is a construction engineer and my mother is a finance director. My parents gave me all their love

3. The Community- size, location, economy, attitudes, and special people in the neighborhood or community. How did they affect you?
Home on the edge of the Huangpu river in an upscale neighborhood
My neighbors though they are all rich, they still work hard to make money

4. The School- size, type, teacher who influenced you both positively and/or negatively, your attitude and feelings.
I went to middle school and high school in Shanghai. What impressed me most was my English teacher.

5. Religious Organizations- denominations, size, activities, attitudes, relationships, and experiences.

6. Peer Group- Who were your friends? What effect do you think they had on you?
I don’t have any religion. But my grandmother is Buddhist. I remember when she was alive, she used to go to the temple and pray.

7. Other Organizations- formal and informal such as Scouts, Camp Fire, 4-H, teams, clubs, political organizations, armed services, non-profits, or other organizations in which you have worked.

8. Media- books, television, movies, and videos, which may have influenced you.

9. The Era in which you were growing up. Any historical events, figures, or trends of importance.
Studying abroad changed the course of my life.

10. Other- work, sports, special skills, volunteer work, marriage, children, and any experiences or events, which strongly influenced you. What do you think the future holds for you?
