write an essay that discusses the historical forces that shaped how people worked from the industrial age (in the 19th century) to the present. Historical forces can be things like industrialization, globalization, capitalism, socialism, feminism, etc. Your essay should provide both western and non-western examples of how the force/forces shaped the lives and conditions of workers. Your essay should
1. clearly identify the historical force/s you intend to analyze, including a practical definition for the term,
2. identify how the force shaped the working conditions and/or lives of workers from the 19th century to the present,
3. indicate at least one important development for each century since industrialization (i.e.: the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries),
4. and clearly incorporate a global perspective by viewing the force/s in action in places other than Europe (including Russia) and North America.
Note: You are welcome to compare two countries in each century or use different example for the same historical force in different times. For example, you can compare China and England in all three centuries or you can use England for the 19th century, China for the 20th, and South Africa for the 21st. Your force should stay the same, even if you address variations over time. For example, capitalism under mercantilsm looks differently than capitalism in the era of globalization. You may use regions if they are clearly defined (i.e.: East Africa works but not Africa).
