Definitions of Hip-Hop

For my research paper, I will be writing and explaining the definitions of Hip Hop. I will be annotating articles that produces deep thinking of what Hip Hop could mean. I will observe interviews, articles, and books, creating this topic “the definition of Hip Hop”. When we think of Hip Hop, we think of “intimidation”, materialism, drugs, sex, or gang affiliation. Hip Hop maybe one of the biggest influencers on children, teens, and young adults, especially when it comes to today’s generation of artist starting as young as 16. On a different standpoint, I would like to figure out the minds of the strict individuals who doesn’t agree with Hip Hop’s influencing actions and/or being a genre, anybody should listen to. I will do research on how Hip Hop affects culture and how it affects the people of that culture. I will also sink deeper into my research by examining the different “types” of Hip Hop internationally, the sounds and lyricisms from different locations.
