Critically compare the core elements of care ethics to either Kant or Mill’s conception of ethical judgment and/or justice.

to take an ethical or political stance of your own in relation to these claims.

This means that your paper will need to make an argument through the exposition of one or more of our course readings. In other words, you must demonstrate a thorough understanding of one of the texts we have read so far, and make and defend a claim about it. Your papers need to have a thesis statement that you develop throughout the paper, as well as return to and expand upon (show the stakes of) in your conclusion. What I mean by a thesis statement is a statement that, in a sentence or two, tells your reader 1. the central claim you will be making and 2. the argument that you will be developing in order to make this claim. Again, in an argumentative paper, a thesis statement outlines your argument for your reader. In should appear in the first paragraphs of your paper, and you should recall and develop it throughout your paper. I also highly suggest you include an introductory paragraph that provides a roadmap of your paper. I have been doing this for years, and it greatly enhances the clarity of my writing. By a roadmap, I mean a paragraph that tells your reader the basic moves you will make in your argument.
