Choose a major criminal case that took place in the last 6 months and is related to this course. Provide a thorough description of the crime and the outcome of the case, and then apply social learning theory as a possible explanation as to why this crime was committed. This essay should be 3 pages. There should be at least 2 references used for this assignment. Discuss a theory as far as why the crime was committed, if it was because of a mitigating factor (mental health or something else etc) And your thoughts on the case, the crime, the victim(s) and offender(s). Obviously this won’t have gone to trial yet so go as far as you can with the case.
