The focus of assignment 3 is to organize the 4 sources that you have selected on your FOI. In this assignment, you will copy and paste the table found in the back of the course outline- AppendixD2 into a word document. We ask you to use 11 point font for the assignment, this way the information will fit well into the columns. Please note, 11 point font for this assignment only. On the title page of the assignment please list your FOI title, as well as the key search terms used to find your sources. You can insert the key terms at the bottom of the paper. For each source, you will identify the population- be descriptive, gender, ages, cultural background, the number of people selected; the intervention (this is what the authors dis to come to the conclusion- was it a study, a literature review, a meta-analysis etc; the outcome- what did the authors find out about the foi from their intervention. All of the information you use in the table must be written in your own words, in point form. There is not a word limit, but be concise, you do not need lengthy columns- I am looking for quality not quantity. There is no need to cite anything in the table as you are not using the authors words. Note, for each source you must list the reference in APA format, then list why the source is scholarly, provide 2-3 reasons.
FOR THIS ASSIGNMENT, THE QUIZ AND THE LITERATURE REVIEW WE ARE USING APA 6TH EDITION. THE COURSE MATERIALS IN THE LESSONS USE APA 6TH EDITION
Purpose: This exercise will help you find, analyze, summarize, and cite scholarly resources.
Assignment Instructions:
Step 1. Create a Word document using the columnar template provided in Appendix D2 of this Outline. Use point-form (not full sentences) for your text in this assignment, where appropriate. Type assignment single-spaced with 11-point font. On your title page, in addition to the information requested in the Important Formatting Note (above), also identify your focus of inquiry (the question you would like to find an answer to) and the key words you used in your library search. These key words identify the most important concepts of your inquiry.
Step 2: Conduct a basic search via the George Brown library using your key words and select four scholarly referencesthat you find particularly helpful, interesting or relevant to your research question. At least one of your references must be a book (it can be either an electronic book from the GBC library or a hard copy book). One reference can be an authoritative website. The remaining two should be articles from peer-reviewed journals. At least one of these articles must be an electronic resource with a DOI.
Step 3: Critically read your selected references, analyze them and, using the template provided in Appendix D2, complete the Evidence Table by inserting summaries of collected evidence in the relevant columns.
