you are to chose from the following groups: A large bank named UBS (Amsterdam Office), a store named Target (Bethlehem, PA store), small paper company in Scranton named Dunder Mifflin, a small, family-owned insurance company with 15 employees located in Morristown, NJ (you may choose a fictitious name). Now, here is the HR Problem you are tasked with solving while considering the organization you are to represent.

While considering communication direction and styles discussed in chapter 9, as well as generational and other differences among your staff, develop a plan for and explain what sort of cultural sensitivity training would be most appropriate for your employees. For this, be sure to mention:

1) Job title(s) and responsibilities for the employee group you are using as an example;

2) Social norms for your given location (may even vary from state to state — be sure to cite a reputable source for proof of the social norm(s) you will be attempting to address in your given plan);

Here, you need to tell me about the region where the organization is located and how the norms there may impact the choice of training or communication style used in the training. What is “normal” in one region, state, country, etc., is not necessarily normal in another. Consider race/ethnicity, economics, education level, language, crime rate, and other social factors the contribute to establishing norms.

3) The delivery method of training and the reason you chose that delivery method. Why does it befit your employee group so well?

Starting on page 233 of your HRM text, you will see what is meant with delivery methods. Which ones do you believe would work best with your employees, in their environment, with your line of work, and why is that the case?
