Biography and History
The Writing Assignment for this week is about these two quotes:
“Biography is the best form of History” and “Biography is the only true
History.”
Give your opinion on whether you agree or disagree with these statements and why and support it in your explanation. Is reading a biography about someone the “best form of and only true History.” Write at least one page preferrably two.
Do not confuse biography and autobiography. A biography is written about someone, for example, I wrote a biography of Napoleon. An autobiography is when a person writes about himself or herself.
This is due, sent back to me, by Friday, 11 September. This will be graded on a Pass/No Pass basis. After I read it, I will send you your grade.
Here’s how the Pass/No Pass will make up a 6th grade. There are 9 Additional Assignments(6 Writing Assignments and 3 Documentaries) and based on the number of Pass Grades, your 6th Grade, will be one of the following:
9 – A
8 – B+
7 – B
6 – C+
5 – C
4 – D
3 or below – F
