Aspects of biotechnology

This is a 2 part discussion.

I want to give you a topic that you may have never thought much about it so that you can apply your critical thinking skills in an interesting thought experiment related to science, technology, religion, and humanity.

1 – One of the most fascinating aspects of biotechnology is the potential to recreate creatures from earth’s past. Scientists are currently learning to read human and ape genetic histories and one day, perhaps 200 years from now, it might eventually be possible to reconstruct the genome of an early human ancestor and insert it into a human egg that is then implanted in a human female who then gives birth to a primitive human in our modern world.

A living, breathing primitive human ancestor in modern society would forever change our human-centered view of morals. What rights would he/she have? How would this affect the rights of primates (which are currently locked up in labs and zoos)? It may be 100 or more years away but it will most likely be done if the technology advances to that point.
