This page should include a specific descriptive title of about 10 words, the author’s names, the course name and number, and the date the paper was submitted.
Abstract
The abstract should be a short but comprehensive summary of the paper. It is normally limited to about 250 words and written in one continuous paragraph. The abstract should begin with a brief statement for the problem to be addressed and include both a summary of the basic methodology and a concise description of the specific results that were obtained. The abstract should end with a conclusion of one to two sentences. The abstract should not include any references and should not refer to the figures or graphs given in the main body of the paper.

Introduction
The introduction should describe the scientific context for the experimental work. It often includes a fairly detailed review of the relevant scientific literature, although this is usually less extensive in a course lab report than it is in a journal article. The introduction should end with a statement of the specific problem to be addressed or the individual objectives of the research project.

Materials and Methods
The materials and methods section should summarize the basic procedures used in the experiments to be reported. It should not include a list of supplies or solutions, but it should describe the methods in enough detail that someone else could repeat the experiments. This section should be written in complete sentences, so please bullet points. It should not include protocol charts or tables. It is often helpful to divide this section into smaller subsections.

Results
The results section should consist of written text in which the results of the experiment are described, and individual tables or graphs are referred to and summarized. While some results may be simply stated in a sentence, others may be presented in the form of a table or graph. The tables or graphs should be numbered consecutively. In general, raw data should not be presented and the same information should not be given in more than one form. Again, it is often helpful to divide this section into subsections.

Discussion The discussion section should be used to evaluate the results in terms of the initial problem, objectives, or hypothesis. You should not simply repeat the results but use them to answer specific questions or address the general hypothesis. This section often includes a consideration of the broader context of the work or new hypotheses that may arise from the results presented.

Literature Cited or References
This is a list of the references cited in the various sections of the journal article. You should cite, at least, five different references!!
