OVERVIEW
For this portion of the project, you will write an annotated bibliography to illustrate you have an understanding of your sources and how you plan to use them to make a compelling argument for your proposal. You must provide credible evidence to support your argument; otherwise, you risk not being taken seriously and not having your proposal accepted.
TO BEGIN
Provide a list of EIGHT sources (minimum) you have gathered that will support the argument you are making on your topic. Four of the 8 total sources MUST be from either peer-reviewed journal articles, books, and/or news articles.
FOR EACH SOURCE briefly describe what you learned from that source and WHY it is important (i.e. how will you use it) for your research paper. For EACH source, perform the following IN THIS ORDER:
Provide bibliographic information in MLA format.
Describe what you learned from that source (i.e. write a summary of the source).
How reliable is the source? Is this source biased or objective? What is the goal of this source? Use the CRAAP principles to describe the reliability of the source.
WHY it is important (i.e. how will you use it) for your research paper. How is this source useful to your main idea or your topic? In other words, connect the source to your nonprofit and/or topic.
NOTE: I have found that students who put in enough time to write the annotated bibliography tend to have more written text to work with on the proposal, Assignment 3. In other words, take some time and provide complete and thoughtful responses to the questions for the assignment and you just might find you will have (mostly) what you need for your proposal later.
This paper will follow all MLA formatting and cite conventions.
By submitting this paper, you agree: (1) that you are submitting your paper to be used and stored as part of the SafeAssign™ services in accordance with the Blackboard Privacy Policy; (2) that your institution may use your paper in accordance with your institution’s policies; and (3) that your use of SafeAssign will be without recourse against Blackboard Inc. and its affiliates.
