For obvious reasons, we will have to skip the group project we started before spring break. It would be difficult to work in groups when you all might have different times you’re available to work. Plus, it would be super difficult not being able to work together face-to-face. So, we’re going to move on to the next assignment.
We will spend the remainder of the semester working on the final research essay. This is the start.
For this class, you will write an 8-10 page argumentative/research essay. Before you can begin this, you will first need to choose a topic. Do not begin working on the essay until your topic has been approved. Here is some information about the essay that will help you with choosing a topic. After viewing this information, look below it to find the assignment for the topic proposal.
Comp II Final Essay
The Beginning
*This essay will need to be at least 8-10 pages long.
*The essay will need to be argumentative.
*You will be required to use at least eight relevant/reliable sources.
*The topic you choose must be relevant today. Do not use sources created before 2013, as they may not be relevant or reliable.
*You will complete a topic proposal. Your topic must be approved by me before you begin writing your essay.
*The essay must be written using MLA format, both with in-text citations and a Works Cited page.
Think outside the box when choose what to argue. I do not like reading the same topics semester after semester. Your topic may not be approved if you choose the obvious like abortion, gay marriage, gun control, legalization of marijuana, etc.
