Video yourself reading at least (MINIMUM) 15 lines from one of these passages. Ensure that your lighting and sound function well. Costumes, backgrounds, or other props are encouraged (but keep them school appropriate and CONNECTED to the ideas you’ll discuss in the scene.
Remember, 15 lines is the minimum. If you want to be considered for more than a minimum passing score, choose a passage with more lines.
Reading with a partner for two different parts is allowed (1.7)
Your reading needs to be fluent and dynamic enough to demonstrate your CLEAR understanding of the rhythm, language, and meaning of the passage. PRACTICE!
Write a 500 word (MINIMUM) accompanying journal articulating a connection between the passage you read and the idea/theme you’re tracking. This does not need to be recorded, but if you’d like to read it aloud at the end of your performance, you can.
