 Technology impact on the economy

Hard copy handed in class and uploaded on ILEARN. For this paper, you are going to analyze a problem in society and argue for a way to change whatever issue you identify. This will be the most complex paper that you will write this semester; first of all, you are doing two things here: 1) analyzing a macroeconomic issue. and 2) arguing for specific action(s). You will have to decide how to organize your paper around these two goals. How would your solutions to the macroeconomic/social problems discussed in this course be better than the ones currently in place, and why?

In order to successfully and completely respond to this question, you must do the following:
 Title of Report and Thesis statement regarding macroeconomic issue that your group has chosen.
 Make sure to discuss the way in which American society prioritizes particular structural norms; in regards to this macro/social issue and relation to economics.
 Discuss the ways in which American society attempts to solve this macro/social problems (use outside research such as academic journal articles or Internet research, which must be listed in a bibliography;
 Highlight the element of the economic problem and its relationship to this issue. In your analysis, discuss what you would change about it and how it would lead to a better solution to the macro/social problem and what is wrong with the current answer in solving the problem.
 Make sure to connect this social issue to key economic concepts discussed in this course, must use at least 6-8 concepts and explain them in detail with support. For example supply and demand, scarcity, opportunity costs, comparative advantage, cost-benefit analysis, externalities, shift factors, scarcity, globalization, etc. Explain the connections with support.
 Make sure to include plenty of charts/graphs(3-4), pictures and supplementary material to support your paper.
 Action survey must be included in your write-up as well as provided in written report.
 And finally, discuss what the macro and micro levels of your better society would look like –
in other words, the social structures, the ways in which people would interact, and how the people would think of themselves.
Use this bulleted list of tasks as the basis for your outline of the paper, and be sure to “reverse outline” your paper to ensure that a) all of your claims flow logically from one to the next, and b)that your completed paper matches the intended outline. This needs to be in essay format with an introduction and conclusion tying it all together. Both content and writing style are important in this assignment. Proofread your work and pay careful attention to spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure. Paper should be 10-12 pages(not including the charts, graphs, supplementary material and survey) Times New Roman, double-spaced with 1-inch margins. MLA format for this paper. Cite and incorporate both in-text and on a works cited page, at least 2 outside scholarly sources obtained from the libraries. Cite and incorporate at least one action research source (interview or survey) that you conducted to gain information about the social issue you are examining. Analyze a problem/issue in society, looking at it from multiple angles and perspectives. Propose a potential “solution” to the problem in a way that does not oversimplify the issue at hand, examining in your proposal how the solution might help alleviate the problem and acknowledging its potential shortcomings. No lates will be accepted since this is the final project. Paper will need to be uploaded on ILEARN in word or pdf format by due date, no exceptions.
